AYON THEME Installation guide

What you need to start:

- Prestashop 1.6 +

- Purchased and downloaded AYON theme from Themeforest.net


Last version of Prestashop 1.6 can be downloaded from the official website: http://www.prestashop.com/en/download

Once the theme has been downloaded to your computer, you are now ready to install it to PrestaShop via the Back Office.

WARNING! Not official version of Ayon theme, downloaded NOT from Themeforest, can work not correct and make harm to your shop. Only official version of Ayon theme downloaded from Themeforest have a guarantee of proper work and full support by RoyThemes company.

Open your shop main folder by any FTP client or your hosting panel file manager.
- go to unpacked AYON files,
- go to 1_new_installation/ folder,
- go to folder by demo name you want
- copy two folders to your main shop folder: override and themes
Login Back Office
Go to Preferences – Themes
Click Add new Theme. Here find "Import from FTP" section. Select installer and click "Save"
Prestashop opened Themes page with successful message. Now:
- choose AYON icon and click Use this theme.
- on modules settings click Save.
Click on Go to the thumbnails regeneration page. Now click to Regenerate thumbnails.
Go to Modules and find RoyThemes Ayon Customizer. Then:
Go to Advanced Parameters – Performance
- set Move JavaScript to the end to YES, click Save
- then click Clear cache in the top right corner.
Great! Theme installed but it's almost CLEAN.

Now let's fill our theme with content! It will be fast.
Let's start with Revolution Slider:
- go to Modules - Add new module
- choose revsliderprestashop.zip from _new_installation/ folder
- click Upload this module
- find it in modules list - click Install

You can change slides and create simple and complex animations of layers with this amazing module.

Now Roy Banners. Let's add some images!
banners of demo you chosed in 1 step are automatically installed, so you can skip this step, but anyway here you will know how to add banners here.
Well done! We finished with content for your shop. Go to front office and Refresh page.

RoyThemes Customizer
Roy Info block

Allows to put information blocks. Better way is to edit existing blocks. Just click Edit

You can find instruction about icons in this module configure page.
Don't forget that you can change some settings in Customizer module for this module too.

Roy Layered navigation block

This module add filter to your category pages. If it enabled, but not displayed:

Product sliders and how they work
What if you enabled product slider module, but it not displays?

Because of different demos, some product sliders can be unhooked from some hook. So you need to check it:
- go to Modules - Position - find hook you need, for example displayHomeTabContent ( main home page sliders hook ).
- if you can't find there your module - click to Transplant module
- select Module, select Hook, Save it.
Smart Blog

You can manage Blog posts from the left menu of your back office.
Smart Blog module contains some settings in configure page. There are 11 additional modules to Smart Blog module, that installed with AYON theme. If you don't need any of them, just disable it.

How to work with MEGA MENU module in Ayon theme

Where are premade files to import?

You can find all prepared banners and sliders for import in import/ folder. Just choose your demo and import files according to guide.

How to import premade slider?

Go to Modules - Revolution Slider - configure - Import slider - Go to unpacked folder - import/demo_name/ .
Here choose slider.zip file and import it.
Go to Slider settings - Slider title and hook - set hook to displayTopColumn, if it's not specified at the name of slider file. Then save settings.

How to import premade banners?

Go to Modules - Roy Banners - configure - Add item - Choose file - import/demo_name/ .
Here choose banner file. If you want to show it like in demo - add banners one by one according to order in their file names. So choose banner_1_anyhookname.
Set hook name according to banner name, click Save

Where to find PSD files?

Go to unpacked folder - resources/psd/ . enter the folder by demo name you need.
In resources/ folder you can find file Used images and fonts.txt where are the links of used fonts, and images, which are not free or have specific distribution rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Google map doesn't display with this error:

 

A: This problem connected with new Google requirements. Download this module mpgooglemapsfix.zip and install it from your backoffice. You will find it in modules list by name:



Then follow the instructions in module:
Request a new API key for the Google Maps JavaScript API from your Google API Console:
- Click Google Maps JavaScript API
- Click Enable to enable the API
- Click "Credentials" or "Go to Credentials"
- Click "Create credentials" > "API Key" > "Browser Key"
- Optionally add your domain with wildcards and click "Create"
- Enter the generated key to module form and save.

How to Update your theme?

Here you will find how to update AYON theme.
Download last version of theme from Themeforest. You can do it here.
Unpack it on your computer.
Open your website in FTP client (I'm recommend FileZilla Client) and make BACKUP of your files (Copy all your website files to some safe and warm place on your computer). IT'S VERY IMPORTANT THING! Also you can backup your database before updating.
ATTENTION! If you have already made custom changes in files (.css, .tpl, .php) - remember, that you if you need these changes you will need to make it again after update.
Go to unpacked updates folder. Open folder with version you need. Upload with replace all content to your shop via FTP client.
Go to Prestashop Back Office - Modules - RoyThemes Customizer - configure. Click 'SAVE CHANGES' to apply new features of update. That's all!
ATTENTION! If something go wrong with the website - check Customizer tabs - you can find labels with version number on tabs, which means that on these pages you can find new features need to be configured. If not helped - feel free to write to support, please.
